FERUSIC ARCHITECTS is a Barcelona-based architecture studio founded in 2025 by award-winning architect Relja Ferusic. Built on the experience, vision, and body of work developed throughout his career, the studio marks a new chapter in his professional practice. FERUSIC ARCHITECTS brings together multidisciplinary and transversal knowledge, to create innovative, sustainable, and user-oriented architecture, design, and urban planning.
Since 2005 Relja Ferusic has developed a wide body of work acknowledged for its quality, from urban planning and architecture to ephemeral and product design, embracing new design and fabrication technologies to responsibly bind architecture and making within its immediate ecosystem.
He has also collaborated and partnered with another architects and engineers, creating a wide network of professionals capable to face challenging projects worldwide. It is worth highlighting his collaboration with Carles Sala from 2008 to 2025 within the framework of SALA FERUSIC Architects.
FERUSIC ARCHITECTS founding partner Relja Ferusic, has a remarkable portfolio focused on wine making architecture, including industry, tourism, retail and product design, as well as, residential buildings, including innovative and sustainable private residences. Since 2013, his expertise and knowledge in wine architecture have contributed to research developed by its partners, along with the AA School of Architecture in London and IAAC in Barcelona. Relja Ferusic has been teaching and lecturing at ETH in Zurich, AA School of Architecture in London, WSA in Cardiff, ETSAB in Barcelona, IAAC in Barcelona or ESARQ in Barcelona.
Relja Ferusic
Founder and Director / Architect MArch MSc
Relja Ferusic is a registered architect at COAC, AABiH and REG Switzerland. He graduated with Honours from the ETSAB (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya) in Barcelona, where he later obtained an MSc on urban space and digital social networks.
In 2025 he founded a studio FERUSIC ARCHITECTS in Barcelona, a framework in which he currently develops his professional career, focused on architecture, design and urban planning. In 2008, Relja Ferusic co-founded SALA FERUSIC Architects, a partnership association with Carles Sala, under which he developed most of his projects and works until 2025.
In terms of research, he was directing BODEGA Research Group, since 2013, which pursues the design and fabrication of solutions for winemaking in future scenarios, under the scope of the AA School of Architecture in London and IAAC in Barcelona. His investigation work has been acknowledged by COAC with the Architectural Innovation Award and awarded with a research grant by ‘Banc Sabadell’ Foundation.
He has taught Architectural Design at D-Arch (ETH) in Zurich, ESARQ (UIC) in Barcelona, WSA Cardiff, and ran a seminar at the Master in Advanced Architecture at IAAC in Barcelona.
He currently holds a position of Associate Lecturer in Architectural Design at the ETSAB in Barcelona where he teaches at First year, and ledas a Course LAC (Laboratory for Computational Architecture) at Fifth Year.
